Sub: Booking of RLs in non-computerized booking offices by using duplicate barcodes
         
          This is regarding use of duplicate barcodes for booking RLs in Branch Offices by using duplicate barcodes. While booking a registered article in a Branch offices by using duplicate barcodes, one barcode sticker should be affixed on the manual receipt given to the customer and another barcode sticker (duplicate one) should be affixed on the article. Registered articles booked at BOs should be despatched to the account office after entering the details of barcode in the BO daily account. In the BO journal, details of barcode should be shown against the manual number assigned to the articles. Actions to supply duplicate barcode have been taken. All BOs are requested to get duplicate barcodes in sufficient quantity from account office.

1.    All PMs/SPMs of Palakkad Division-,The RLs  from BOs should be re-booked with the same barcode affixed at BO by selecting “Articles from other source” option in Despatch module. In this window the information on SOs/BOs articles, article type, receipt no., article no, weight, receiver name, address, Booking office name, Destination office name with PIN code etc are to be fed mandatorily.No RLs should be booked without barcode and without captured in the R-Net with booking scan details and also the communication with central server should run regularly.
2.     All Sub Divisional heads-for information
3.      All System Administrators- for information.
4.     Tech /Mails branches of DO –for information and Stock Branch-for supply of duplicate barcodes to BOs.
5.        File.
