                   Sub:  Handling / processing of Registered Packets -reg

Directorate vide letter No. 30-7/2013-D dated 11.12.2013 has intimated that second class ‘Registered Packets(RPs)’ are to be handled by Parcel Hubs – together with Business/ registered/ Ordinary Parcels. The Registered Packets should not be handled at CRCs. In this connection, following instructions have been issued for strict adherence.

i)     Parcel barcode stickers should be affixed on Registered Packets (RPs) at the booking point.

ii)    The Registered Packets should be dispatched to the linked parcel hub in parcel bags only by using the prescribed bag labels for parcels.

iii)   In no circumstances the RPs should be dispatched to CRCs.

Supervisors/SPMs concerned will ensure that the booking centres/ POs are following the correct procedure.
