Sub:- delivery of EPP  articles-reg.

          This is regarding the non-delivery of the EPP-VPP articles and its arbitrary return by the delivery offices. Regional Office has informed that it has come to the notice of directorate that a number of EPP consignments were returned by the Postmen with no specific comment and in some cases without contacting the recipient. Such incidents, lead to poor quality of service and cause business loss and also add to the expenditure of the department in handling the returned articles which are not further charged.

IMPORTANT

          Improving the quality of delivery performance and updation of the data in the speed net to provide track and trace facility to customers will definitely contribute to the increase in the EPP business and will attract new customers as well. Hence it is requested to effect home delivery of all kinds of EPP-VPP articles. Also ensure that the prompt updation of EPP articles once the articles are delivered. If at all any article is returned it should contain specific and legible remarks.
