Sub: - Routing of Business parcels to Andaman and Nicobar-reg.

          Extract of clarification received from Directorate regarding the airlifting of business parcels to Andaman & Nicobar Island  from Chennai to Portblair and vice versa is as follows:-

“Gazette Notification GSR 648(E) dtd 23.09.2013 regarding transmission of second class mail by air between Chennai and Port Blair/Andaman &Nicobar permits transmission of all kinds of articles by air in case of Andaman & Nicobar. Therefore Business parcels too can be transmitted by Air from Chennai to Port Blair and vice versa as they fall under the category of second class mails.”
