Sub:  Despatch of SPAs returned to sender - reg

CO has noticed that many POs are still despatching SPAs which are returned to sender along with registered articles in the R bag closed to mail offices, which is quite irregular.  These articles even though having Returned to sender remarks should be treated as SPAs for processing and despatch. At present such returned to sender SPAs received at mail offices are forwarded to the Sorting Hub for further disposal.

All POs are hereby directed to ensure consignment of returned to sender SPAs to the sorting hub concerned.
