Sub: Booking and despatch of relief materials to Uttarkhand state - reg

Kindly find enclosed herewith Directorate letter No.30-27/2013-D regarding booking, despatch and delivery of relief materials to Uttarakhand State by post without charging postage.

          Competent authority has ordered for booking of packages containing relief materials in the HOs with immediate effect and up to 20-07-13 as per the guidelines issued by the Directorate. The packages containing relief material can be accepted up to 35Kg of weight for a single package and should be booked by using the special receipt as specified by the Directorate. The packages should be routed through surface only.

 It may kindly be ensured that the relief material should not contain liquid, breakable items or any other item prohibited for booking through post office. You may prepare receipts using A4 sheets as per the proforma attached. Wide publicity has been given through press release today.  All officials in the office may be informed.
